Programs
When Joan Kroc established the Institute for Peace & Justice, she stipulated that she wanted an institute that not only talked about peace, but that made peace. The programs of the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice are designed to facilitate peacemaking and peacebuilding with justice. To do this, the IPJ has programs that educate and inform; that build the capacity of individuals and groups locally and globally so they are included in decision-making processes that promote democracy, peace, and justice; that offer the IPJ's technical expertise in assessing, facilitating, mediating intranational conflicts; and that assist civil societies around the world in peacebuilding pre or post-conflict. |
