"The Role of Women in Stabilization and Reconstruction"

The findings of three reports will be discussed at this event: The Role of Women in Stabilization and Reconstruction (USIP Special Report); United Nations Reform: Improving Peace Operations by Advancing the Role of Women (WIIS/Stanley Foundation report); Who's Making Policy? What Difference Does It Make? An International Conference on Gender-Inclusive Decision Making for Peace & Justice (Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice publication).

Commentators will include Ambassador Harriet C. Babbit, Co-Chair of USIP Working Group on the Role of Women in Stabilization and Reconstruction and former U.S. Ambassador to the Organization of American States; Harriet Hentges, Ph.D., Co-Chair of USIP Working Group on the Role of Women in Stabilization and Reconstruction and former USIP Executive Vice President; Joyce Neu, Ph.D., Senior Fellow of USIP's Jennings Randolph Fellowship Program and Executive Director of Joan B.
