"Extraordinary Rendition: Outsourcing Torture "7:00pmInstitute for Peace & Justice
A dramatic reading of the play The Sort of Happy Ending to the Sad Sad Tale of Mr. Ali Ali, Or: The Lighter Side of Outsourcing Torture by Craig Abernethy. After the reading, a panel led by human rights lawyer William Aceves will discuss the U.S. policy of kidnapping suspects from one country and transferring them to a third country for questioning. Co-sponsored with the International Museum of Human Rights at San Diego (IMoHR) and the Social Issues Committee of the University of San Diego. |
