"Because of Romek:
A Holocaust Survivor's Memoir"

The Jewish Student Union at USD and Hillel of San Diego, USD Campus Ministry, Departments of Theology and Religious Studies and Languages and Literaturea at USD, and the the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice will be cosponsoring a lecture by Holocaust Survivor David Faber at the Institute for Peace & Justice on April 19th, 2005 at 7:00 pm. Faber, author of the book Because of Romek: A Holocaust Survivor's Memoir, will be telling his story of survival. Mr. Faber endured eight different concentration camps (including Auschwitz), watched his brother tortured to death, and witnessed the murders of his entire family. He made a promise in his family's memory to spend his life promoting love, peace, and tolerance and preventing hate. He tells his horrific story to fulfill that promise.
After the lecture, Mr. Faber will sign copies of his book, which will be available for purchase.
