"Religion-Based Nationalism and Human Rights"Dr. Ram Puniyani
Dr. Ram Puniyani, author, social activist, and professor at the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai in India will address the connections between religious fundamentalism and communal violence, the myth and reality of communal propaganda, and the impact of religious nationalism on human rights. He will discuss the causes for increasing communal violence, including global and local changes. Presented by the Institute for Peace & Justice, Amnesty International, and USD’s Department of Theology and Religious Studies. |
